Argan oil is an oil extracted from the almonds of the argan tree, a rare tree found in Souss a region belongs to Morocco. It is an oil widely used in the traditional cuisine of that region. This oil is known for its nourishing and healing properties.
Argan oil contains 42.8% oleic acid, 36.8% linoleic acid, 6.0% stearic acid, 12.0% palmitic acid and less than 0.5% linolenic acid. In addition to these fatty acids, it contains tocopherols, squalene, steroids, carotenes and phenols.
